Walkathons are great way for schools and other organizations to raise money and getting some exercise at the same time.  They also increase school spirit; even in less than ideal weather conditions.  

Reserve your walkathon date, sit back and let Walk-A-Thon Services do the work.  Walk-A-Thon Services will plan your entire event, starting with a kickoff meeting with your groups to explain the event.  Walk-A-Thon Services will lead your walkathon, collect pledges and provide computerized summary reports to your organization.

Participants obtain sponsors to pledge a per lap or fixed amount.  On the date of the walkathon, participants walk at their own pace to lively music and complete as many laps as possible around a small track in a 45 minute time period.  Participants do not collect any money.  Walk-A-Thon Services bills and collects all pledges directly through the mail.

Any person in your school or organization can participate.  Walkathons are not competitive events and can be enjoyed by all.

HOW MUCH MONEY CAN BE RAISED BY A WALKATHON? 

Most organizations earn between $50 and $75 per participant.
